As you may know, my “One Word” for this year is Rejoice. God has given me much to rejoice about this first half of 2023
I’d like to share a few writing milestones and breakthroughs with you:
Book 6 Update: So much has been going on behind the scenes with Book 6. Lots of writing, revising, and editing going on. Lots of emails with my awesome team and a great meeting with my editor. I’m so looking forward to sharing more info about Book 6 with you (including the cover and title reveal) so please stay tuned! Be sure to sign up for my email list so you don’t miss a thing.
Our Daily Bread Update: I’m so thrilled and honored to be writing for Our Daily Bread‘s main devotional. My first two articles have been approved! Will definitely keep you posted on when my articles begin to be published.
NYSB Teaching Update: I’ve wrapped up teaching for the 2022-2023 school year. What a blessing it’s been to teach my five classes throughout the year. This June was the fourth June I’ve taught a Summer class. Glory! It’s so lovely to see how my students connect and encourage one another. Ladies, I hope you’ll join us this Fall for online classes. You and your friends can join from wherever you are in the world. My classes are usually on Tuesday evenings. Stay tuned for more info. including about my new class that’s just been added to the schedule!
This past June mi familia also got to celebrate that my nephew persevered through the pandemic and graduated high school with honors! Graduations are a big deal for mi familia. Grandpa would be so proud of his grandson.
Has this year been easy? Nope. But God’s grace is sufficient and His mercies are new every morning.

After years of feeling drawn to writing for this global ministry, I’m excited to announce I’m an Our Daily Bread author for their main devotional
My devotional articles are gonna be in their booklets that you can find in church lobbies and some schools or hospitals, etc. They’re also online and in audio format, etc.

When God called me out of journalism, I didn’t think I’d ever write publicly again.
I was content just writing care notes for my small group members.
But God had a plot twist for me
It’s been nine years since I won ODB’s Online Writing Contest for Readers The video above was the short video greeting I made for their staff meeting.
In recent years, I’ve written for Our Daily Bread‘s VOICES Collection and their Discovery Series website (you can read more in this blog post) and have even written marketing copy for them.
Thanks to those who’ve been praying and encouraging me during this long wait to write for their main devotional!
Will definitely let you know when my articles start getting published.

As this semester is winding down, I’ve been getting such lovely feedback from my students.
Feeling “accepted” and “joy” are some of the words my students have used to describe how they felt as a result of the material we covered during a recent lesson. They’ve also used the words “reassuring” and “affirming” to describe a previous lesson.
